Every bag of green coffee we export is covered by this official registration — so when you buy from Cents Coffee, you are buying from a verified, government-recognised exporter, not an unlicensed middleman.

What This Certificate Means For You

In plain terms, this certificate confirms that Cents Coffee Ltd is legally authorised by the Ugandan government to export coffee internationally, and that we operate under specific conditions designed to protect buyers and the wider coffee trade:

  • We may sell coffee via tender, auction, contract, or direct sale to reputable international traders — not informal or unverified channels.
  • Every export shipment must move through an approved port — Mombasa, Entebbe, or Dar-es-Salaam — under agreed contract terms (FOB).
  • Coffee is tracked from our factory through to the shipping point using our internal traceability system (see our Quality Assurance process).
  • Any new coffee type or grade we bring to market must first be approved by MAAIF’s Department of Coffee Development — so grading claims like Screen 12/15/18 or AA/AB are not self-declared marketing terms; they follow a regulated national standard.
  • We are permitted to purchase coffee from other licensed processors in Uganda for export, provided the required quality certificates and transport permits accompany each purchase.

Is Cents Coffee a licensed coffee exporter in Uganda?

Yes. Cents Coffee Ltd holds Certificate of Registration No. 0168, issued by Uganda’s Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries under the Coffee Regulation, 1994, authorising us to export coffee internationally.

The certificate is issued and dated by MAAIF’s Commissioner of Coffee Development in Kampala and includes a unique certificate number and QR code. Buyers are welcome to request direct verification through our Contact page.

Under our registration, we can ship via Mombasa (Kenya), Entebbe, or Dar-es-Salaam, or any other port agreed in the sales contract.

Yes, our registration covers coffee export generally, and covers every grade and type we currently list, including Robusta Screen 12/15/18, Washed and Natural Arabica, and Drugar.
